Outdoor Hospitality
Cabins, sporting lodges, inns, bed-and-breakfasts, and managed rentals at Southeastern outdoor destinations. This is Pine & Marsh's eleventh industry: marketing for the places guests stay, built around how those guests search and book in 2026.

WHO WE SERVE
We work with owners of cabin rentals, sporting lodges, inns, bed-and-breakfasts, and managed rentals near the rivers, lakes, forests, and hunting country of the Southeast. Many of your guests are the same anglers, hunters, families, and couples our other industries serve. The difference is the product: you sell the stay, not the trip. We do not work with beach resorts or city hotels, and we do not serve RV parks, campgrounds, or glamping.
Outdoor Hospitality in the Southeast

84 Audited Operators
Our 2026-27 audit covers 1,546 private operators in 11 states. Its Lodging / Campgrounds category holds 84 of them, and they averaged 5.38 out of 10 on digital health, against 5.09 for the whole audit. The category includes campgrounds, the audit is a structured sample, and the website signals come from an October 2026 homepage scan of the 70 category homepages we could read, so treat them as lower bounds.
What It Covers
Cabin rentals at outdoor destinations, sporting lodges, inns, bed-and-breakfasts, and managed rentals, including a company that looks after several cabins under one brand. A multi-program sporting lodge that sells hunts, fishing, and events under one roof belongs to our Lodges, Plantations and Multi-Sport industry. Many lodges are both, and we can talk through which side leads for you.
Direct Booking
Only 10 percent of the 70 Lodging / Campgrounds homepages we could read showed an online booking engine in the October 2026 scan, against 27.0 percent of the 1,093 homepages read across the whole audit. That raises a plain question: can a guest book with you directly, or are they sent somewhere else?
Why We Added Outdoor Hospitality
The original ten industries were each organized around a sport or a sporting property, and none described a business that sells the stay itself. We tested the idea against the questions we ask of every industry: whether the Southeast is a significant market, whether the buyer spends enough to justify serious marketing, and whether we have real fluency in the work. Judge the last one on our work, not our say-so.
We tell you what we plan to do, what we will measure, and how you can check it yourself. We do not guarantee rankings, bookings, or revenue. If you are not sure whether you belong here or with another agency, that is a fine question for a discovery call.
We work with a narrow set of operators so that we can work well. Call (256) 858-7587 or email info@pineandmarsh.com.
A name with another meaning: the trade association OHI uses "Outdoor Hospitality Industry" for RV parks, campgrounds, and glamping. We use the phrase for the lodging list above. If you run an RV park or a campground, this page is not about your business.
